These beautiful beaded earrings are handmade by women from the Embera indigenous community located in Mocoa, Colombia. Artisans use their traditional beading knowledge and great talent to carefully needle-wove and hand-tread each beaded piece, using a silverfish hook to make the earrings good quality and hypoallergenic.
Your purchase supports the ancestral work and cultural identity of the Embera indigenous artisans of Colombia.
MATERIALS: Silverfish hook and ceramic Czech beads.
MY STORY
Welcome to my shop and my studio!
I am a visual artist and graphic designer originally from San Salvador, El Salvador, living in beautiful British Columbia, Canada, for the past 18 years.
I come from a long line of artistic, strong and determined women who diligently encouraged and nurtured my interest and passion for art and creativity from a very early age. I have been drawing, painting and creating art for as long as I can remember and being able to share my work with the rest of the world today is a great honour and privilege for me, as woman and as an artist!
